The first day of this 2-days private tour begins from Athens; your driver will pick you up from your hotel or any other place and will drive you via the coastal road to Corinth Canal, one of the most impressive sites you can see in Greece. The tour will then continue towards Nafplion, one of the most picturesque towns in Greece. Nafplion was the first capital of modern Greece and remains a lovely place to visit, with its cobblestone streets and little shops. You will enjoy local flavors here and after a tasty meal with Greek dishes, your driver will bring you to Olympia.
Overnight in Olympia.
The second day of the private tour starts in Olympia with a visit to the site of the Olympic Games. You will be fortunate to see the actual place where it all begun. You will see the original track of the Olympian road race and the Museum of the Olympic Games.However, the municipality of Elis is not only known due to the games; there are amazingly rich wineries in the area as well.You will visit a local winery – estate with lush apple, orange and olive groves and you will have the chance to learn about the wine making process from the experts.You will also try some of the renowned wines such as Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Grenache and the white varieties; Malvasia Aromatica, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Tourkopoula and Viognier.After the wine tasting, the tour will bring you back to Athens late in the afternoon, full of images and tastes of Greece.
